Safe Toilets, Brighter Futures!

Ensuring Proper Sanitation for Girls in Schools

We are also promoting proper toilet and sanitation facilities in schools, as access

to toilets is crucial in reducing suffering and shame among women and girls.

The lack of basic sanitation in schools is a significant factor contributing to girls dropping out of education in Africa.

Without proper facilities, they are often

left with no choice but to wake up early or stay up late to find privacy in the darkness for

open defecation, increasing their vulnerability to shame and even sexual assault.

There are cases where the lack of toilets forces many girls to leave school.

In Africa, only 10% of schools have basic hygiene services, including toilets.

Addressing this issue is

essential to ensuring that girls can pursue their education in a safe and dignified environment.

We're taking inspiration from the UNICEF toilet model, a sustainable and affordable design that prioritizes girls' needs. This design provides the privacy and basic comfort girls require to manage their periods with dignity while at school.

We are seeking partners to support our ongoing efforts in advocating for sustainable water, sanitation, and hygiene services in schools.

These essential services ensure that all children—especially girls—can continue their education in a safe and healthy environment.

What These Girls Need?

A Little Help Can Make A Big Change

Even small changes can create a ripple effect.

Many children, especially girls, face barriers to education due to the lack of clean water, toilets, and hygiene facilities in their schools.

But with your support, we can change that.

By advocating for and providing these essential services, we can create a safe and healthy learning environment where every child can thrive.
